Get under your car and put your hand near the joins in the exhaust when the engine is running - you should be able to feel if the exhaust is blowing. They may not have fitted it properly.

get someone to cover the end of the exhauist with a coth or something and then ran your hand down the exhaust at the joints should be able to find the leak that way. Or it could be the exhaust manifold blowing or the cats gone.

it sounds more raspy than blowing, i took it down their saturday to have the silenced centre section removed and go to a straight through, im the first to try it apparantly on a 1.2 16v. it was fine before but when i got home and heard it around the town it sounded to raspy for my liking, it was nice and deep before! does anyone know what i mean?

er, correct me if im wrong but if you remove the centre SILENCER then your going to get a louder more raspier noise

^^ ditto, and it will sound different round town as you do get the sound reflecting back off buildings and such like and that does make it sound worse than it is, if you get my drift.

it definatly sounds worse, it sounds louder for sure but not deep anymore, before it was deep and sounded class but now it seams there is a whole somewhere like smokey said it might be the gasket sealent between the joints. what do u think? i went on a saturday and there was only one member of staff plus david.

can someone help please. im pretty sure it doesnt sound right. do u think if one of the joints was not jointed correctly it might be the cause?

changing the center section well removing a box can really affect the noise. but as everyone has said check the exhaust for leaks

and do i just buy some sealent and put it all over the joint? or will i need to take the leaking section apart and re-do it?

just go to halfords and get some exhaust paste (hardens when it gets hot) and wack it over any holes u find (may look messy but easier than taking the thing apart)
