why has my front window wipers locked??

i got in the clio mk1. and turned on the car and after 5secs i turned the window wipers on cos there was water on the window screen however when i turned the wipers on....the wipers locked like 1/8th of the way abit weird and now they wont budge but i can move the back wipers but the front ones are locked....whats this all about??

and now i just went in the clio to turn it on and the clio wont start...looks like a battery flat... why did this happen 1st the whipers and now the battery flat??

LOLZZZZZZ naaa ive been totally honest with her. guess what i got a battery flat now blady hell....im also running 2 subs and 2 amps and 2 front 4inches. could it be that????
