wifes dci, is it missing a bit?

just putting some screenwash in the missus car and noticed on her 56 plate clio dci that it doesnt have the sound deadening on the underside of the bonnet like my 182.

it has the metal lips and holes for the plastic lugs but no actual carpet, should it have one or did they come without for clearance issues maybe?

Depends on spec of the car. if it is a campus then no they don't come with it.

I have a 57 106bhp dCi and it has the sound proofing under the bonnet.

Some did some didnt. My old clio extreme didnt, yet my cup did.

Does make the engine a wee bit quieter.

On another note its £60 for a new one from renault!

cheers for the info, we got it brand new its a 56 plate 65bhp campus sport, i removed mine from the 182 so i may fit that for her help reduce that diesel rattle when its cold.

You would think it would be standard being a louder diesel car,maybe even thicker

It won't have been fitted as standard. Doubt it'll make little or any difference.
