Will 215 tyres fit on a 182?

  182 cliosport
Just wondering if anyone knows how wide a tyre can go on a 182,I have 205 at the moment thinking of go up to 215. Can anyone give me any pointers.
Cheers Ben

  My trusty lil 182 :)
Should do, but not sure it will make much difference. My slicks are 216mm width on et37 wheels and were just catching at bedford when weighted up but car is lowered on coilys.

I really wouldn't go that wide if I was you, my Cup had that width of tyre on the wheels when I bought it. Unless I was on a perfectly flat and smooth road every time I put the power down the car would suffer from horrific torque steer and when the wet weather came along, it got 10 times worse.

Slower heavier feeling handling and more tramlining.

The 182 is an amazing handling car out of the box, you'll have more than enough grip if you're smooth. I wouldnt bother putting 10mm wider tyres on it.

I prefer the nimble handling on 195's anywho...

I preferred the 205's on my 182 over the 195's on my 172 although mainly due to 172 wheels kerbing so easily on 195's.

205's tramline more, wet white lines etc. 215's would be overkill IMO

Hi Mate, Long time ago now but I've only just got into the clio game. If I have a LSD and 280 bhp from my low boost kit wider tyres will help... Right? Key point is that 215 will fit ? with no rubbing ? Will I need to flare the arches

Michelin ps3 in 205/45/16 grip well on the road.

Depends on wheel offset, are you fitting them to standard wheels?
