will a 182 decat fit 172?

all i can find is decats for 182 do these fit 172?

i dont think they do mate, they cat on a 172 is longer. im sure ktec do a decat for a 172>

Totally different as the 172 exhaust manifold only reaches as far as the back of the bay where as on the 182 it comes right down underneath the car.

Ive got a home made one (not by me I aquired it secondhand) made from cutting the two cats out of a standard phase 1 cat and welding in bits of pipe instead.

Its not the prettiest thing in the world but works fine, would only want 30 quid delivered for it if you are looking for something as cheap as possible.

Can get pictures if you are interested.

Looks like a phase 1 cat but instead of the 2 barrels its got a couple of bits of old exhaust pipe tube welded in instead.

so just a straight piper through a normal cat? will this fit a phase 2?

Yes it will fit a phase 2 no problem at all.

Its 2 pipes not one, as the phase 1 has twin cats on it as standard.
