will a number plate light not working fail and mot

It fails. Mine did.

Yep it will - but when I last let Kwik Fit do my MOT on my 1.2 - the noticed and kindly replaced it for free... :-D

It will fail. I had it a couple of years ago, when I checked all bulbs on the car, but the Numberplate light was out and it failed on that...quick bulb change...passed without issue.
