Will ET28 15"x7" fit Euro guy's help?

  visualize whirled pe
I thinking of going euro.

What troubles am I going to face with this fitment, the wheels are ATS cups, (similar to early mercedes slk rims)?

I am thinking of perhaps lowering a little 30-40mm (not all the way like a true euro), is this do-able with this size of wheel or am I dreaming?

What tyre sizes / options are available on this rim (would prefer not to stretch them), as I'm going to start find tyre prices too.

Thanks

Rich

Doh Just spotted the title; I'm not asking for a 'fit euro guys help' just help with the wheels ;)

Youll need the arches rolling for starters.

Cheers, I forgot to mention, it's a MK2 Ph1.

The reason I ask is there is a fella on here selling similar fitment wheels in the ad section (but I cant afford £600) he mentions they'll fit straight on a MK2 but his are ET25 not ET28, so now I'm confused.
As the ET number gets lower are the wheels popping further out of the arch?

Yeh, corretumondo :) (the value is in mm)

Just a quick question, what exactly does "rolling the arches" entail? Bending the "L" shaped arch edges up to form more of a "U"?

The ET number relates to the distance between the surface that meets the hub and the centre line of the alloy.

The higher the ET/Offset number the less the smaller the track.

I would have though et28 would be too small and offset without rolling the arches, especially on that width tyre.

However on the other hand it is worth remembering you would be fitting a 40 profile tyre thus reducing the outer diameter of the tyre and giving you more lowering space to play with.
