Will my paint be salvageable?

Basically, cleaned the S14A up to get a proper look at the paint work. It's got a fair bit of orange peel, swirled to hell and covered in what I presume are holograms from machine polishing, as there's polish EVERYWHERE!

I can't really get any pictures to show what I mean, but it looks guff, somebody has done a really poor job on it. Will it be salvageable or shall I admit defeat?

Will definately be salvagable.

Know anyone whos handy with a rotary?

Should be salveable, has it been resprayed?

Swirl marks- Will machine polish out
Holograms- If there from a previous machine polish attempt then will machine polish out.
Orange peel- After a good machine polish you might not notice them as much, or you might. However if you really want to get rid of them, depending on the paint thickness's etc, you could wet sand the orange peel areas then machine polish.

Sorry, I read this thread as 'Will my pants be salvageable?' lol!

I thought, what has this lad been thru?!

Deffo salvageable dude. My GF's car was pink/looked knackered before I had a bash at it.

4 half arsed hours later it was red again and all the holograms removed. To get rid of the orange peel you will need to wet sand it.

whats orange peel?

A lot of the time it's from a respray, most primers leave the orange peel so you have to wet sand the primer and flat it all out, otherwise eventually it shows through the paint :(

I'll see if I can find some pics of what my bumper looked like when it was first primed, then what it looked like after flatting.

Can't find the pics that i mentioned, but black cars are the worst for showing the orange peel unfortunately :(
