Will TFR's strip Waxes & Lsp's ?

Another from me

LOL :)

Will TFR strip waxes and Lsp's off your paint ?

And isn't that not what most supermarket jet washes as a soap ?

There are many types of TFR on the market, most just clean. Some are designed to strip LSPs & then those that are deisgned to add a layer of wax.

my dad got me some tfr off a local car wash which definatly strips all the wax off the car its good to use once but as soon as you put wax on the car steer clear of it because it is just striping all the wax you went to the effort of putting on!!

TFR (we used to use G101 I think it was called) can be diluted depending on the job you want it to do. It's a very powerful degreaser if mixed 50:50 and will mark window rubbers (they then require dressing) at anything more than tfr20:80water.

I would say it's a solution I would wash a car with when you want to clean it of all contaminents before claying, including to some degree destorying surface wax protection, oh and don't use in strong sunlight.

The ones we used to use at the dealership definitely did, they were originally designed to be used on lorries as a quick and easy solution of cleaning pretty much anything off them, although I guess consumer versions may be a little different!

I would think even a mild shampoo if used enough would eventually remove waxes and sealants though - but I apply them too often to test that theory!
