Will this gearbox fit my car?

Bit of a noob question but just thought i'd be 100% sure before i buy it
I've just bought a 2004 clio 172, it needs a gearbox as it grinds like sonething stupid in 5th, anyways theres a lad on here selling a box out of a 2002 clio 172.
Are they the same box? Does it fit my car, i'm not too clued up on which boxes will fit
Just want to be 100% sure before i buy it

Yes will fit, the issue is surounding the speedo drive sensor. Later cars dont have one as the ecu/speedo takes its input off the ABS sensors. If you buy a box with a sensor and your car doesnt have one its no big deal. But buying a box without a sensor if your car needs one will leave you with no speedo

Thanks for clearing that up, do i have to worry about this speedo situation, can i check if its ran off a cable without taking the box out, dont really plan on taking the box out till i have a new one to put in.

Not a cable, just a sensor. I'll try and find a pic but an 04 plate should not have one

Ok so if i get a box with this sensor in and i dont need it, do i just leave it in and forget about it or take it off and blank the hole over?
