will this tyre pass the mot

Just been going over everything on the car ready for the mot on weds.

And I just spotted this on the tyre, looks like I've hit a curb but I haven't so can only think it must be a pot hole or something in the road.

Anooying this is I've only had them on for 1000 miles and pirelli zeros aren't cheap!

I've got a few part worn P Zero Neros in Leeds if you want a cheap one. About 4-5mm tread. £20?

Not really no, I will change it soon but everything has all come at once this month and I cant afford 100 quid on another new tyre.

Its not too deep, about 1mm or so, but I'm not sure how thick the side walls are.

Ifs it's only that shallow I'd have thought it will be okay. IMO of course!

If its shallow and no cord is visible it will just be an advisory. I had a chunk you could lift and flap about and it passed.

hipwell- I dont know about the cut in the tyre I'm afraid but what do you think of the tyres? I am looking to purchase a set for mine soon..

It will only be a failure if theirs exposed cords.

pull the hole open and look see if there is a cord (metal wire) showing through , they normally have pretty good sidewalls! if no cords pass and advise !
