Williams 3 handbrake light

Could a williams 3 owner please do me a massive favour and see if there handbrake warning light goes out when they let the handbrake off with just the ignition on and not the engine running.

Mine wont and i cant run the engine at the moment to see if it goes off then.

Fear i might have a big wiring problem as if a disconnect the wire from the back of the handbrake and do a continuity test its currently negative

Ignition and Engine running has no affect on the handbrake light status.

If you take yer handbrake off.. the light goes off.. on either.
