Just brought this months PGti, and noticed a nice looking Willamms in there, with Cliosport stickers on it, just wondered if it was anyones who uses tyhe forums

Yeah wonder why that is, seeing as two thirds of the cars are ClioSport ones, suppsoe renault sports club covers the R5 too, and they were on about teh ReanultSport achievements

Bolox, Ive just seen this article, and Ive got a few problems with it

Theyve put my name as "John Williams" for one

and the lower picture of my car is terrible, it shows the wheels like theyre bloody orange....

I noticed that as well, the wheels look like theyve been re-sprayed with spray can, dont look gold really. Just read the mag and there is a few mistakes.


Williams with wider arches than a 16v??
Renault 19 with a 1.6 16v engine
306 Xsi with a 2.0 16v engine
1998cc engine for a Williams my V5 says 1988cc??
Add the endless plugs for RSC and cars that really should be in Max Power and I wasnt very impressed with it.

Some XSis do have a 2.0 16v engine.. but its sloooooooooooow.

But yea.. R19 with 1.6 16v and Williams with wider arches than a Clio 16v! R19 16v has same engine as a Clio 16v.. and the Williams only has a wider front track than the Valver.. arches are the same.

They need to employ me as a researcher! HEHE!

My Williams3 V5 says 1998.. heh.. and thats what I always thought they did have. http://cliosport.net/specs/williams.asphttp://cliosport.net/specs/williams.asp says 1998 also?

yup I know what your saying mate, no worries....

I was looking forward to having a laminated copy of that to stick on the dash at shows, but tbh I couldve done a better job myself.... the colour matching on the large photos is terrible, I know he used medium format film stock for those but still, even the two big photos are completely different colour shades..... not a happy bunny.

BTW I think the standard williams and V6 are the best cars in the mag, all the other cars are really Maxed. I think the 205 is the best of a bad bunch and thats saying something. Some real crap in the mag, in Votre Voitures "Performance is far more important than looks to Dave. Never happy with the power his 2.0 16v (206 Gti) lump is putting out. Dave is forever changing his exhaust and filter combos in order to find out which gives him the most grunt" Do some proper engine mods you goon!

there are no stickers on the V6 because we hadnt got round to putting any on, we had only had the car 3 weeks I think when we did the photo shoot - it now has sticker!

- plus PGTi had asked for the car to be "std" - we were asked to take the black lexus lights off!!!

I have also emailed PGTi to point out the error of their ways with RSC not CS - they will note the mistake next issue.

I also asked them why they called Mr R Mr W !?!?!? just cos he drives a Williams that does not make him Mr W !!!!
