Williams Period radio now back in.

Put my original headunit back in the Williams at the weekend for FCS.

Drove 200miles with it and im well impressed. Feel well posh having the remote control working by the steering wheel.

No way near as powerful as the cd version ive taken out. But i like it, dug all my old tapes out aswell. Going to miss cds soon when the novelty wears off.

In the manual, it says a cd changer is avaliable for it. (or contact the dealer) Does anyone have one fitted from back in the day (1995) that i can buy ?

Its a Renault Blaupunkt Radio Cassette 037 no.-7700844459.

mate that unit isnt too old, i check if the existing new blaupuknt units work with that HU
 


I looked on the rear of the HU and carnt find anywhere a changer would plug in. Im fair clued up on stuff like that.



Someone must have ordered one as an extra, back in 95 on a clio ?
 


Need to find out how it would connect as well. Phone call to renault parts - That should make em think..............

I took mine out the day I got the valver! Thats how standard it is!

Id have kept it too and looked for a cd changer as suggested but the display is faulty only shows half the display - plus its sh*t in the sun you cant see a thing on the display..

oh and I still use my "posh" Controls ;)
 


Tryed a sony HU in, with the adapter for the controls, but it didnt look right.

If anyone whats to buy the adapter for a sony headunit pm me.

Did you manage to find out what type of changer you would of needed ?
 


didnt get that far, slapped a sony in for a trip down south.. couldnt manage without my roxette cds... ;)
 


it should sit next to the remote control plug.

is the plug huge?
 


It fills all the space if thats what your asking.

All conncetions are made that i can see. There is no obvious placed to plug it in.

Unless its hard wired in ?
 


Ive got the same head unit in my Williams 1 (came from a dead Willy 3). I know its not totally original, but it sounds a hell of a lot better than a Willy 1 tape deck does!
 


if there is one available, then an adapter lead plus changer usually costs £200 at work (Motor World) to fit with an original OE headunit

not sure if there is one listed for the Williams, i can check if you want
