williams tappets

is it usual for the tappets to be quite noisy when i start up my williams in the mornings the engine is quite noisy then quietens down after a few minutes thought this was normal while it warms up but seems to be getting louder

Its normal

It can get extreem, but the type of oil you use has a large effect on how fast the tappets drain and how fast they pump up.

mine WAS like that,i added sum ptfe which eradicated the noise
