window motor problem?

Ive done the search, but not turned up what i need,

Basically, my passenger window cracks going up and down and on a few occasions the window has fallen off its runners as far as i can see and gone down at a strange angle.

I dont really fancy putting it down again as it wont come up.

Am i right in thinking its a regulator or motor? Or cables coming off a wind up mech?

what part do i need to replace?

the window probably isint seated correctly into the bottom housing, possibly just needs tightend up, just take the door card of and have a look, it could be loose, its not the motor if its going up and down, and its not the cable or it wouldnt go up atol. it could be sticking in the runners, again take it of grease it up and have a look at the workings of everything, but check to see it the window is sitting in correctly at the bottom on the runner.
