window slider - central locking issue

  80MPG BEEZA
if a mk2 ph2 clio has a slider kit on the window, when you lock the car you can simply open the slider and open the door, is there any way that to make it when you lock the car you cant simply open it by open it by the inside it has to be unlocked first

Yeah Clios don't deadlock mate, so they could open the window, and pull the interior handle and they're in.

Could you not put a grill across it or something?

like a window net? or custom make door cards with the handle near the bottom so they need real long arms to reach, other then that i was thinking proximity sensors on the car with sensors inside so if they stick there arm in the alarm goes off maybe a pager for if im not nere the car

there must be a way to make it so when i lock it the interior handles dont open the car back up

thats what i thought like they'll catch over something inside so you can only open them from inside, was looking at 2 cars today an ascari and a ferrari 430 both had different types but they had a little bit on the outside so someone outside could slide them

i wish there wasnt bloody car thiefs end of :)

maybe a merchetti and sword that swoops down if someone puts there hand in from the outside

thats the problem with having a full blown race car on the road, just make sure the car cannot be driven (hidden kill switches etc)

i was thinking along them lines also lockable bonnet pins so no entry to under the hood so even if they get in they aint goin anywere

as above just make it immobilised..... so you have to open the bonnet to switch it on... like having a switch wired the the earth on the battery, you could even employ a switch somewhere clever like the wheelarch which has to power the car.

well im relocating the battery to behind the passenger seat which is gonna have a circuit breaker near it which could be placed under the seat which i could make it positioned so only my long fingers know where stick in and flick the switch over and the battery will block hands from the back of the seat, and maybe put a kill switch above the pedal assembly knowone ever looks there
