Window switch bug?

Recently replaced the passenger side window regulator and im pretty sure everything was working fine!

Anyway, now just realised the passenger side window switch only works in the DOWN direction (ie you cant raise the window back up) but you can do both from the drivers side switches.

This makes me think the actual switch within the doorgrab is broken? Maybe a connection has come loose? Does anyone know if you can remove the switch from the doorgrab and possibly buy a new one if needs be? I dont want to replace the whole door grab as mine has a brushed metal effect (RSI) and doubt ill be able to find one like it!

If it's anything like the 1*2s the swtiches come out easy.

If so just undue the torque screw thing in the handle bit and they come out, rest is obvious.

Ill try popping it out later. Anyone know if this is a common problem or if the switch can be fixed?

Thats the drivers side, just buy a new one, loads in the link on ebay, trust me just undue the one screw and it will all come out, it's not hard.

^ Yeh I know how to take that bit out, I did change the regulator myself

But just wondered if the switch was repairable as i like to have a crack at things myself. If not, ill buy a switch

Have a crack, aferall all a switch does is touch to peices of metal together lol

Might just be a loose wire/connection as I'm guessing you've had the door card off to replace the regulator?

Yep.

The connection to the motor is only 2 prongs so I doubt thats loose? (since its working fine from the drivers side)

Checked the connections under the door grab, unplugged replugged etc and its all fine. So no Idea! Only things i can think of is:

- Switch busted / loose connection (just a coincidence)
- Connection between door/car (big loom connector) is loose, ill double check that but doubt so tbh because everything else (locking/speakers/etc) is A ok.
