  Megane DCi 147bhp/350nwm
32bit

as people have said before - 64bit only if you're running 3gb or more

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4
are there any issues over whether or not its legit, or is me buying a new CPU covering me completely?

Just bought 32bit vista for my new comp, running a similar processor to you and a dx10 graphics card.

Only Vista Support DX10

yeah I'm getting a XFX 8800 GTX, looking in the region of £1200-£1300 for my 'upgrade' at the moment, how are you finding Vista? My plan is to get 1066MHz RAM and then get a Quad Core Intel later on when they are not £500 - £600 (my mb will support Quad-Core)

Its only takes note of the Motherboard, i havent got my new components yet. My PC is a slightly lower spec one that what you have bought.

Mine was £850 with Vista

Would have said get the 64bit if your building a new machine with 64bit cpu. Ram count or not makes no difference really. But with newer apps coming out supporting 64bit it would make sense. Loads times are better under 64bit and any work you do on it a lot of programs have 64bit versions which are quicker.

Done back to back testing on my own system 32bit versus 64bit just to see which is worth getting HL2 level loads go down by nearly 1/2 on 64bit system. But it is one of the only games out to have 64bit support.
