Windows Vista & word/powerpoint

Got a Vista laptop with Microsoft Works, got software disc with laptop for Microsoft Word/Powerpoint etc but it's only to 'view' not edit, start new etc.

Anyone know where I can download the 'full' version of word / powerpoint or do I have to be robbed and buy the software?

you have to purchase the full boxed product.

Your other option is to go for a product like star office.

Microsoft will rob you.

Get open office, I use it on my linux machine and it does the job fine and opens and can save as Microsoft file extensions like doc and xls.
