If it freezes at that point, do this.

Click start, run, type 'regedit' and click ok.

now expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Explorer>VolumeCatches. Now delete the key named "Compress old files". You may want to back it up just to be on the safe side.
