Windows XP Logon help

Please someone help me, since i did a windows update my computer no longer aut logs in to windows and takes me to the logon screen even though i have no password to get in.

Also when i leave my pc for a while it does the same, logs me out, this happened to me once before and it was a simple registry change that someone off here helped me with, unfortunately, i can't remember what the key was.

anyone know what it is please as its driving me crazy!!!!!

Probably one of the updates has created an asp.net user. I just deleted this account, no problems. Or you could go to start->run and type "control userpasswords2". Untick users must enter a password and you will be prompted for a default login.

cool thanks, no you mention it i'm sure it created that logon last time actually and i have done as you said so thanks, also managed to find the registry key and have made sure that is right too so hopefully when i restart it will be ok.
