Windscreen Washer Pump..

Go to renault and buy the part, saves fannying on
Mine was replaced a few weeks ago, part was £42 from my local dealer

Cheers, had a look a look and there's a GSF on my way home from work :). I take it you can just go in? Does anyone know the part number just to make things easier?

Austin, i don't really fancy spending £42 when i can get it for just over £10. Cheers anyway.

Liam

Righto, just did this myself.

The washer that ECP and GSF have listed for our cars is VERY wrong.

It has a small inlet at the bottom.

A post on here recommended a pump from a Clio 3, circa 2006 (exactly as you have shown) and when I went to ECP and checked that one, it was perfect.

Installed and working flawlessly now.

Ahh ok, cheers. I will get one from ECP or GSF later, how much did it cost you? Was it easy to fit or did you have to take out the bottle and everything?

If you go to get a new one, take your old one with you. ECP sent me the wrong one, I had to go in with the original one to get the right one.

It was only 14 quid chap.......just look it up online first and reserve online.

I searched for an 06 clio one and there was only one.

Large 90 degree inlet at the bottom.

In answer to you asking if its easy to fit:

Had mine out the other day. Makes it much easier if you take out the windscreen wiper mechanism and water bottle. I did manage to remove the pump without taking them out but wasn't easy in the slightest, and almost impossible to re-fit. The wiper mechanism is only 3 bolts and the water bottle only has 1 so doesn't really add too much work to remove them.

Hope this helps!

Yeah much easier to do it with it taken out. 1st time I done it it didn't seal properly and leaked, only noticed after I put it all back together again!

why in the name of god would you take out the windscreen wiper mechanism and water bottle????????

just to put in a new pump?
all you do is pull up the old pump and push down the old one!!!!

Just gave lots more space. Taking the pump assembly out wasn't to much of an issue, but trying to get the tube at the bottom of the pump back into the washer bottle seemed damn near impossible through the tiny space in front of the washer bottle.

Wrong 172lover, cups are different to 182's, pump doesnt pull out the top, it pulls out the side so you need the bottle out to get at it

We do do them...they're just not listed for the Clio as they should be.

Will have to check the right one Monday.
