windshield - may need to be replaced

when replacing the windshield do i need a standard windshield or some fancie one? are the rain sensors on the inside or in the windshield oh i have a 172 mk2

auto windscreens did a good job of replacing mine when some little w**k had thrown a rather large stone at it. But mine isnt rain sensitive
