Will it ruin decent winter tyres by using them in the dry whilst it's warm?!

I guess it depends on the tyre, I use uniroyal rainsport 2's and they have been fine in the dry, no excessive wear this summer (but then we havent had much of a summer)!

These are proper winter tyres, not just rain specific. I understand they're going to be worse grip wise than my summer conti's but they're on some 19's that I've bought and I'm too impatient to wait until the bad weather before I fit them!

I believe they will just wear a lot quicker as they are not meant to operate in the warm weather. The tyres will have a temperature rating on them.

Think of it like using F1 wet weather tyres while its 40degrees on a bone dry track.

They're generally suggested to be used when the average temp is below 7 deg. C.

As it's in the 20s at the moment, I don't think you'd be best off putting them on just now, unless your 'normal' tyres are borderline illegal !?

Normal tyres are plenty legal, just wanted to swap from 18" to 19" ASAP for the looks!
Guess I'll just hold off a while and be sensible!

I was looking at the photo of the 1*2 in your picture and was thinking 19"s ?! Then realised your car was an M3 :p

That's my old one, want it back!

Guess I'll have to leave them in the garage for a while, shame as they look awesome!
Roll on winter!

Uniroyal RS2s are simply amazing in the wet, but today I noticed the outer quater of mine are almost bald,
which is down to me throwing it in to corners in this warm weather.

It's my fault completely, as they are simply not meant to be ragged in warm weather,
i've only had mine since December and I need two new ones now.

So RS2s for the winter and monsoon season,
something else for summer that can cope with cornering without getting torn apart.
