Wiper Stalk Mod

I'm lost what does this mod do ?
I thought 172's had intermittent wipers as standard, but with adjustable iming between sweeps of wipers
not on 182's with auto wipers iirc

You cannot adjust the intermittant on the 182 cup,which is really annoying at times
Is it literally just changing the stalk?

Ive got a dynamique with auto wipers, and you can change the sensitivity but it doesn't really,make a differance just gives you something to fiddle with, they still come on randomly and get faster as you get faster.
they are funny, some times they will go on if you get a drop of water in the wrong area, and smear what ever is on the windscreen all over it, other times you will wait for them to turn on and they dont untill you litereally cant see, so you need to jump start them,(put them to off and back on). I asked renult about them if there was something wrong and they just said,they were fine and are just like that. I had a Mk1 Ph2 laguna Sport with an ajuster on the wipers which actually worked was just manual wipwers but you could set the speed on the intermittant form like 30 seconds a sipe to almost as fast as the continual step 1, continual step 2 shook the car lol
now only if there was a sensitivity meter on the auto head lights, as i think they dont come one until its quite dark, you know i need to put them on manually, but the computer says its bright enough not to turn them on.

Sorry to drag up an old post just to get confirmation.
I've removed the rain sensor leaving me with a stalk with position 1 doing nothing and then the wiper only operate in position 2 & 3. So I can get a pov spec stalk with just 2 speed position and swap them over removing the "auto/intermittent" element of the stalk and leaving me with a 2 speed wiper sweep?
I'm still left with the service light on the dash from unplugging the rain sensor but I need to get that turned off with clip by someone.
