Wipers go to intermittent when stationary

Is this normal? Just tonight my wipers kept going to intermittent when stationary even when set to speed 1?

I've got a 182 Cup with a variable intermittent stalk fitted.

The weird thing is, I've had this stalk fitted for a year and never noticed this before.

Yup, AFAIK.

Yeah...it will do it when stationary (sp?) or under a few mph. Saves it going mad while sat at the lights or in a jam.

A bit like the rear wiper comes on, if you have the wipers on and put it into reverse.

I've found in mine if you flick the stick down one then back up, it'll stay on constant.

Don't know if that's just mine or if i'm imagining it?
