Wipers not always working

Hi,

I have a 2004 182 and it seems to be having a problem with the front wipers, basically sometimes they work then sometimes they don't, even when they aren't working I can still hear the relay clicking but yesterday I took the arms off and I was working to a certain extent granted a little sluggish, I was wondering if anybody has experience the same problems and have any suggetions my first thought is to try a second hand motor or strip the other one down if possible.
