Wireless 360 Controller to PC

I have a "normal" Xbox 360 Wireless controller and was wondering if it will work on my PC?. I have connected it to the PC, but it says that it needs drivers?.

Will I have to shell out for a proper PC 360 Controller?.

I thought the Wireless controller could work through the Charge kit as its a connection to the PC?.
