Wireless ADSL modem + VPN

I've heard that some modems crash when running a VPN to say a corporate network. Does anyone connect to their work network from home using wireless modems? If so which one?

i use a Wireless Netgear WGT624 router connected to a Netgear DG814 and connect to my corporate network over VPN no problems.

I use OpenVPN which is free and uses SSL. It should work on just about anything.
