wireless help!

ok so I got a nice new PC for the lounge, all up and running but can I bloomin 'eck get the wireless working!

So far I've done the following

Set workgroup to same as PC and Laptop (currently working fine BTW)

Got MAC address of the wireless adapter on the new pc and added it to the allowed list on the router

Installed netbeui protocol (I usually find this helps for some reason)

I can see the network but when I click connect it just basically times out.

I'm stuck now

is it wep/wpa secure and have you entered the correct key?

no not using wep at all just mac filtering

start run - services.msc - scroll down to computer browser and restart that service

lol @ netbeui - it shouldnt be needed, only tcp-ip.

is the wireless connected and what os are you using ? assuming it looks connected can you open a command window (dos prompt) and ping the ip of a different computer on your network.
ie
ping 192.168.0.2 where 192.168.0.2 is the ip of a different computer. you may have firewall running which is stopping you acessing other machines
