Assuming theyre dual voice coil, both coil at 4ohms, you could:

both coils in series (8ohms), subs in series (16ohms)

or

both coils in series (8ohms), subs in parallel (4ohms)

or

both coils in parallel (2ohms), subs in series (4ohms)

or

both coils in parallel (2ohms), subs in parallel (1ohm)

If you can find a mono amp that can run 1ohm stable, go for that, otherwise go for one of the 4ohm examples.

Just 4 ohm? So single voice coil?

Well then in series theyd be 8 ohms and in parallel theyd be 2ohms.

u can run them in series to run 2 ohm! u cant make 4 ohm run at 1 ohm unless they are dual voice coil! y doh u just fone me u over grown c**k!

they are dual voice coil u peter pan look a like, and my system is goin to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much louder then yours LOL
