Wiring dual optics

I recently bought some dual optics got them all wired up...

1st of my problems is the light from them is shockingly bad, so im thinking of gettin some higher watt bulbs to improve this...

2nd problem is the way i have them wired up, when i change to Main Beam the Dipped Beam goes off, now most people will know that the Dipped Beam should stay on when you change to Main Beam, if this doesnt happen then i can be an M.O.T fail (depending on testers discression) now this is one of the problems as to why the lights are s**t, i get the length but no the spread of the light...


Electrics aint my thing so does anyone know how i can wire them up so the dip stays on with the main!?

EDIT: Forgot about the guide on here. From reading it is it simply just throwing a fuse in and away i go? i jst basically scimmed it so didnt read fully lol

Fuse:

In order to make the low beam stay on with the high beam a fuse has to be added to the fusebox, all clios have the wiring ready, you just need to pop the fuse into position. This is also required to pass a MOT. The fusebox is on the drivers side on the end of the dash (open the door) clip off the panel. The position to add the fuse is where it says dual headlights in the manual, the symbol is a light with 3 straight lines next to it.

Mine doesnt have this space for the fuse... it had one with 4 lines so i tried that one and its no different... (Im bored thats why im trying this at hlf 1 in the morning) and i have a recovery job to go to soon so why not

Basically after that guide was put up most people discovered that they didn't have the space for the fuse, but the guide wasnt changed as it didn't do any harm.

I found the light from them to be worse on normal road driving than my non sport lights, but for some reason when it was really dark (country roads etc) it seemed better?

After a little while I just got used to it tbh.

If you search something like "dual optics" and "relay" then you may find your answer to the keeping low beam on problem, someone on here posted about it, but god knows when/in what thread, sorry!

iv got it sorted now, the one i was looking at was correct but a 5amp fuse was to small so it was just blowing (at 1:30 in the morning u dont think about checking these things) stuck a 10amp fuse in and its working fine jst gta see what the lighting is like at night :approve:

I didn't have the option to put a fuse in mine, pov spec fuse box it seems!

mines a pov spec one too, but mine must be special
