Stop and battery light dull flicker

Ladies and gents
So as above in the title
the 182 been sat in the garage for a couple of years out in the summer and trickle charged over the winter.
After starting her up in the garage I noticed that I had a dull flicker on the dash as mentioned above, worse when the lights are on and the dash goes back to normal when rev’ed

Did a quick search and a few people from a past thread had this when they had a faulty alternator/ battery.

Stuck a new battery on and cleaned the earths up today but with no change to the problem.

Got the multimeter out and she is reading 14.2 dc when running

Checked them and then connected a earth directly from the battery to the chassis

Ohhh and when I brake makes them flicker ( all bulbs are new in the rear clusters

Did you check rear light earth's?

I did , all cleaned and new bulbs in the holders

Not sure if you got this sorted, but my 182 was doing the exact same thing and I struggled to find the problem. But it turned out to be warning sign that the alternator was slowly on its way out
