Wiring seat airbags

  CLS, RS MEG
Hi everyone.

Ive had this problem for months now since i bought my clio, and want to get it sorted.

The cars a 1.2 dynamique. Its therefore got 1.2 wiring loom to drivers and passengers seats, which previousuy had airbgags. However the new interior is from a 172, so i need to connect the airbags up, I already have the seatbelts connected. On each seat there is this brown connector from the airbags. I need to know which wires from the dynamique loom connects into this, as i have no connectors available that would fit that socket. I understand i need to cut the loom to fit, but which colours???

Is it possible for Renault to turn them off via the engine computer? I just want to get rid of the airbag and serv light. Not bothered about them working

the connectors are different on different seats. yes I think renault can turn them off, but surely you want at least your driver and passenger air bag to work, and the pretensioners. Go to renault like I did and ask them which wires go to which connector, but into them and twist the wires together, JOB DONE!

My connectors were a straight forward swap mate, but i know that the connectors are different between the mk2 ph1's and mk2 ph2's.

If you just want the lights turned off your dealer can do it by changing the vehicle configuration to 'vehicle without side airbags' using the CLIP tool.

sounds like what he wants mike, but how much are renault gonna rape him for the privilege?
