wobbly steering!!!

i have a problem with mine,there is so much play in it when u turn left to right,if i am driving in a straght line and turn left to right a bit it doesnt even move the wheels,it is horrible,what do u think it is as i really want to get it sorted rite now?

The steering column or the steering rack. No question. Fairly common on the higher mileage 16v and Williams.

Very expensive. Sorry.

whats it more likely to be the column or the steering rack,does any1 know prices roughly for each of these? i need to get it done,could i do it myself or is it a very hard job any info will be greatfull,

couldnt find a price forthe steering column, try eurocarparts.com?

if you dont get any help ill look at my haynes manual to see how hard the job is when i get home!

well according to haynes its a 2 spanner job i.e (fairly easy) thats for the column.

theres nowt in haynes about the rack, and as ive never changed a rack before i cant tell you how easy it is, sorry mate!
