Wont go into 2nd gear

Driving about over the weekend, clutch seems heavy and car wont go into 2nd. when i try to put it in it judders. any ideas? all other gears work. no slipping, however it has been making grinding noises.

Mine's the same, don't know what's up with it. Sometimes it's fine, other times it seems to hit something halfway into second gear and so won't engage. I guess the gearbox is on it's way out.

mines doing this exact thing, how much are the parts to rebuild? ive bought a second ahnd box off here but would like to rebuild it n have spare if cheap enuff
