Woo Hoo, one good thing About Getting Older!

Car  LY V6 with Recaros
Just been going round getting some quotes as my insurance is up the end of next month, got quoted £500 from Privilage! I was paying nearly £800 last year with Elephant, and that was just for 10 months! They don't seem to be cheaper for me any more, but the other companies which used to be expensive are now much cheaper for me now I've got 4 years ncb!

I even got quoted £701 for the R26 through Privilage! :D For some reason Admiral and Elephant wouldn't quote me for one, yet they quoted me £1200 for a vee last year! :S

same here Deb, I was with Elephant last year who were very competitive, for that year but at renewal (December) they were like £100 more expensive than anyone else! Now with Admiral (same company I know) and paying about £450 f/c me and missus on policy :)

Mine still goes up each year on renewal, despite being another year older and getting another years NCB.

Bit of shopping round and I soon get it down!

That was the only place I've looked so far really anyway, other than admiral etc, so hopefully I can get it even cheaper than that! :)

Priviledge gave me the best quote for a 182. 1400 at 21, next cheapest was direct line at 1650 and everything else is over 2k.

I've still got to try direct line. And KDF, I'm only 24 and have 3 points, so £500 is pretty good for the 182 considering it used to be £7-800. Although it still is far too much!

Not yet, I have'nt tried that many at all yet tbh, but £500 still shocked me! Hopefully I can get much better! Greenlight said they wouldn't insure me on the R26 though as I'm under 25?

Less than £300 at privelege for full no claims. If you get quotes online you can play with options such as excess, legal cover ,breakdown cover etc.and see how this affects the premium.

That's what I was doing last night, took a few things off I didn't really need, added my mum or dad to see if they made it cheaper etc. The protected no claims puts it up a fair bit though. How exactly does protected no claims work, I've never had it before, I don't really get it lol :o
