Wots goin on

I am having serious issues with the front wipers jets on my valver. Its only just stared happening but its a night mare. Every time I use the jets on the front they stay on until th res is empty and you can still here the pumps going, whats going wrong? I have found the only way to get around this is to remove the CIGARETTE light fuse, which stops the jets from working at all, why is this?

Is the switch Buggered, has anybody else had this problem??

Sounds like youve got a short somewhere!

Perhaps check a Haynes Manual or the Car manual to see if the washers and the cigarette lighter are on the same fuse - if they are then youll have to perhaps strip the steering column down and clean the switch on the stalk. Easier said than done though... Maybe just replace the stalk and see if that cures it? First Call Renault on Benfleet would probably flog you one for about £25 second hand.

Good luck though! You may just find its one of these little french-car things that cures themselves after a little while!
