would 17" td 1.2's look daft on a 182?

I've had 15s on a Clio and I've had 17s on a Clio.

The 17s handled well matched with my coilovers, there's no doubt about that.

But the 15s handled way better. I could tell as soon as I fitted them and took it up the road.

Now on 16s and whilst they look good, they handle nowhere near as well as the 15s on the same car.

Hope this clears everything up.

Acceleration was very noticeable too IMO, when going from 17" to 15". Felt the difference on a number of my cars.

I found 16's to be ok, Not as sharp as the 15" though, The main difference is the feel through the steering, I had a silver 172 with some 17" wolfrace on and the steering had no feel, It was pretty much like driving my A3, Light steering, No sharpness.

15" make the car feel like a go kart IMO, You can feel every tiny input you make. I don't really understand the advantage of running 17's, The tyres cost more, They weigh more than OZ F1'S / Team dynamic 1.2's and they rubbed on the inner arch on my old one which was on standard springs!

Yeah my 17" Megane Nervasports needed low profile tyres + spacers so they didn't rub! I had to bend my bonnet/wing join upwards out of the way too. Looked brilliant mind.

The 16s on the Trophy are good, it was when I was having my wheels refurbed that I borrowed a set of 15" willy wheels. As soon as I fitted them and took it up the road it instantly felt much better, as you say like a go-kart would! Made me want a set of 15s but I couldn't live with that arch gap
