Would I need a remap?

Hi people, I have a bmc cda on my 172, and next saturday i will have a supersprint 63.5mm exhaust complete with decat, (cheers lawrence). Anyone knows if i need a remap as well. If yes how much would it cost to remap, or is it worth going to an smt6?

you car will be "safe" without one, can i suggest you have your inlet manifold matched, then have a remap

oh and buy some ear plugs

Yeah, i was thinking of speaking to ben after xmas though now, i dont mind it being loud, as long as its not a chav sound, like a bloody escort cvh oe something like that!

you dont "need" one, but you'll feel a big difference performance wise with one. I ran about with what you're suggesting, then months later got the remap done. Big difference.. also got the inlet manifold fettled with at the same time too...

vince you dont need to remap it but if i had the cash i wouldv'e gone ahead and got mine done just to make the most of what ive got,
