Would you buy a cheap 172 that needs service and cambelt doing?

Do you think may be its had a front ender then? dogy brakes & a badly sprayed front bumper lol... walk away guys, my service light came on when i fitted the new seats, doesnt like the pre-tensionars being disconected :dapprove: ... Rs tunner will hopefully clear it but will prob be getting harness's so will wait till then

Could have possibly had a small accident, didn't look anything serious and had a look under the hood, all seemed secure and well. Just needed a tiny bit of filling and respray.

Brakes I think were just worn, I stamped on them hard and it casually came to a rest, perfectly fine for everyday driving, but not what I'd like to have in an emergency.

I didn't realise the SERV light ment fault, I thought it was just saying its long overdue a service.

BTW no damage elsewhere, I checked the spare tyre well and all seemed fine. If it was going for around £2300, I think it would be decent, then to spend £1200-1500 sorting if you wanted to put the time into it. I personally don't have the time atm.

James, have you not had it RS tuned up yet? 3 point harness or going all out for 5/6?

Rs tunner Group N map was the first real engine upgrade my 172 had

I may well be going polished roll cage & harness, not sure on what sort of harness to go for, its all new to me lol

Polished ali cages look sex though
