wrapping my badges

I have a pre cut wrap for my front and back renault badges and it says I can either take my badges off and put it on that way or wrap it and cut excess wrap with a stanley knife.

The reason I am wondering which one is best it because I don't want to break the badges.

What are the recommendations on this?

Take it off, makes it much easier to work with, you can probably lay the wrap flat then lay the badge on top, just prise the front off carefully from underneath with a flat head screwdriver, the back I believe the badge surround needs to come off

I dont think so, I believe its just clipped in but you have to take the surround off from the inside then unclip it from there
