wrong decision

ive been pondering with tints for a while now. they were done on sat gone and ive gone of them already ive had my car 6 years and its the first lump of money ive wasted so not bad. sometimes youve got to do certain things to youre car to see what it looks like and this was the wrong move. the image of the car changes instantly for the worst plus like others have said the white line around the outside of the side windows is irratating.now im stuck with the job of removing them rant over:

They're a pain to get off. Leaves a really sticky residue, but I suppose there has to be something you can use that gets it off easier. How dark have you gone? I don't like black window tints, but a light tint on the rear looks good IMO.

I remember that most people on your thread where you asked for opinions on tints said that they were a bad idea. Although people might accuse most of us of being "sheep," it looks like there are times when the forum as a whole may be right...?

Anyway, lesson learned, at the end of the day it's only window tints, count yourself lucky it wasn't anything expensive, such as ITB's etc.

When I lived in Nottingham I had a mate that got his 182cup tinted, that was the car that made me want to get a RS Clio.
They were totally illegal on the front and for some bizzare reason he never got pulled, :S
and Notts traffic Police aren't know for their happy go lucky nature.

thanks for replys lads they are light smoke 65% i think the thing is its the first time my car hasnt looked original since i bought it six years ago.

no kev they wernt done cheap proper place tints in s/land £90 on the rear side windows about an inch from outside theres a dotted line apparantly the tint carnt stick to iy so it stands out.other people have mentioned it just didnt think it would stand out that much looks a bit taty.

My brothers cost £250, Not sure if he got ripped off but his had no white lines and on a black car looked good IMO.

My Clio had tints when I got it, took me about 9 months before I removed them and I immediately wished I had done it the day I got it. They looked gash.

i want tints. just look too chavy. SOrry my area is rife with corsas with black windows and huge zorsts

Funny you say that because I have factory tints on my 200 and gave darker tints a thaught until I saw a glacier white 200 here with full black tints. Looked really bad to me and saved me the embarrasment of wasting my money. Happy days.

wow after pondering more about my tints today i decided to remove them wow i wasnt expecting them to just peel of without any effort. its a proper place that done them theyve been going years always doing top end motors. its staying standard now lesson learned.

Hate to say it but i did say spend the moneyz on some sportlines instead...

Never mind, atleast they are something which can be swapped back easy enough

wish i did get sportlines now jimbo never mind christ the glue is horrible to get off but im getting there.
