wtf is the point in a warranty

car went into garage under warranty with engine managment light on and flat spots, since its a toyota garage they couldnt find fault so it went to renault to the CLIP, turned out to be the "upstream o2 sensor" so toyota garage phoned their extended warranty company and its not covered under warranty?

so what IS actually covered by these stupid things?!

yea dont bother with them iv got RAC extended warrenty, they say the cover everything but have yet to cover me for any of my problems...w*****s

Normal warranty probably would of covered it, but because your car has more wear and tear then it probably wont cover it. Dont blame your dealership however, they would be more than happy to cover the work as they get money for it, its just if they put it as warranty work and then they send the part off to the main dealers for inspection to be found it shouldnt of been done, they get in a bit of bother for it.

Aftermarket warenties bar the manurfacturers own are useless never found a good one before now,.

Depends, I was lucky enough to get a cam belt change done under my extended warranty!

The warranties we sell are excellent. They cover 90% of what The original Renault warranty covers.

Do you not read the policy booklets before you take these things out??

wasnt an arnold clarck warranty was it, because they cover nothing!
litterally they put millages on every thing, a mate of mine for an AC warrnaty on her car driving down the motor way her car conks out flashing up every warning under the sun, take it to AC ( it was a 54 fiesta- ran out of manufacturers warrnaty in september) for the years warrnaty they told her it was the ECU and wanted £600 to fix it, she said it should be under warranty they said it is but only up to 20,000 miles her car had done 22k, well raging, she took it to ford (evans halshaw) and they done if for about 200 less.

Gazmar got a gearbox outta one of these things, but I wouldn't ever consider buying an aftermarket warranty.
