wud u trust a kwik fit fitter

got some lowering springs and was htinking of giving it to kwit fit to do as im on a budget, ne opinion from people who have used them wud be appreciated

If its a Clio Mk1 and has a torsion bar set up, Id let a specialist do it. It should be OK if its a Mk2 Clio though (coil shocks all round?).

Kwick fit cant bodge that, just make sure they do up your wheels... Had one of mine come loose last time I used them.

They even forgot to put the pin in in front of the bolt and it came undone and the whell and outer hub over took her on a down hill, sparks everywhere and a new rear beam required...

My local Kwik Fit (Hillsborough, Sheffield) are actually very good. Theyve recently done my battery and a wheel bearing. The bearing had got badly stuck in the hub and even though it took them ages to get it out, they only charged me the £75 that I had been quoted. Renault wanted £160 +VAT....

Ive been to other Kwik Fits who appear to be total numpties, so it probably varys from garage to garage. Still, I trust the local one enough to do my upcoming minor service for me. Theyll even come out and do it while Im at work for no extra charge...

get the spanners out an do it urself as long as u get the tracking re-set afterwards all should be fine u might even learn summat

quik fits labour rates cant be cheap surely theres another garage nearby thats not expensive

Id go to a normal garage. We have a chain up north called motosave who are similar to kwik fit (spotty 17 year olds tinkering with your motor) and when you take your car to them they ALWAYS feel the need to constantly blip the throttle when theyre pulling the car onto the ramps....WHY??

wouldnt let the kwikfit dancing monkeys near my car, years back i took my old boys mondeo in to get new tyres when he was away on holiday, when he came back he checked the tyres and firstly found that the tread was the wrong way round on one of the back wheels, secondly the front two had bulges at the sides which i understand if i had cornered hard would have blown out on me.....maybe they should stick to making sh*te adverts and practising their dancing than working on cars
