Looking to buy, seems a decent guy but has "lost" cambelt change receipt!!

If he ever had it done, he could contact the place who did it for a copy of it. At the very worst they could provide a letter confirming it was done.

He bought it with 47K on it. It'd just had the belt changed by the previous owner, so he says.

You think i should contact the garage last on the service book? Or is that a bit OTT??

Get him to speak to them for it, no proof of it leave it, as it's an X reg (2000/2001) car it should have been done ages ago.
