Xbox 360 freezing??

Got tiger wwods golf yesterday for a change pass the time till forza is out.

I can play it fot a while but on the odd occasion on a loading screen it will freeze. Never done it before?? software or hardware problem??

Take it back mate, my mates started to do this, after a few days he turned it on n the green light turned to red and stopped working at all.

Stand it up and keep it out of cupboards, entertainment units etc.

Hassle I know, but if you can stand it up out of the way, you shouldn't have any problems.

this is what happened to mine before it died, started to randomly freeze, kept getting worse though and eventually died so I would prepare for the worst if I were you, buy a PS3 instead now, they don't break

Only reason im saying software is that it never freezes with any other games I have which are new. The one bought was a preowned one to use up some reward points.

could be a scratched disc then but that normally comes up on the screen with the disk cannot be read rather than freezing in my experience.

mine only did it on Gears of War.

they overheat badly... we get so many back at work which have overheated.

yeh i ve heard. not good. I alwasy keep mine standing upright and because of the way my room is its sat next to a window which i open a bit when playing. not sue if it makes a difference or no.

mine never seems to get hot and is not enclosed in any way but it still happened so i'm not sure there is much you can do to prevent it i'm afraid

ur 360 freezing seems to be different to mine. i sat and played battlefield 2 and PGR whole nite and never had a problem, only seems to do it if i play tiger woods

I've had this on several games over the last year, just seems to be at random, burnout is the latest one!

move it into open air?
Mine did this and i moved it.
Has worked fine the last 6 months

pulled all the wire etc away from where it was stuck a wee dusty buster over the lot etc etc. stuck it up on my window cill. proper clean air hehehe

if its just one game then try a different copy of the game, or take it to your local independant game shop, they will normally be able to clean the disk for you for a couple of quid.

To clear dust out a console or PC, just get an air compressor and blow into any of the grills. Do that for a minute maybe and it should be good to go.
