Xeneon headlight on then off

Hi guys had my clio for a month now and I'm working out all the little niggles. One of my xeneons had gone off so thought this is either new bulb or ballast time. I've been back out and the headlight is now working. Any takers as to why this has happened?

Obviously I'm pleased it's working but is this Likley to be a wiring fault or a symptom of something about to give up?

I had similar and it was the bulb showing the first signs of giving up.
Got a pair of 5000k from HID Direct and all is well again.
Less that £20 for the pair and next day delivery too. Very pleased.

Cheers bud. I had heard that the light should change colour if the bulb is about to go?

Hope it is just the bulb as I don't fancy posting for a new ballast

Mine was a very very slightly different colour until it fully warmed up, but you would have been hard pressed to notice it.
For me, bulbs were by far the cheapest option so that's what I tried first.
Luckily for my wallet, they fixed the issue 100%
