That's a fair price for what they are.

Go for that option if it's deffo the bulb and not something else.

Which do you go for though.

4300k
Or
5000k???

I like standard.
But I'm sure 5000 looks good.

I had 6000 on old Clio and that was good. Just a tad bright :-/

I've got 6000k on my 172, at times I wish I'd got 5000k so I'd go for those!

Ye I think 5000 would be a good choice. Although 4300 is nice.

Next on the list for me is a set of sidelight bulbs.

Would you go for LED or standard halogen?

Which are best to buy too?

The ballast is the unit behind the light that converts the power output to suit the bulb?

That correct? To the Clio sport boffins?

no, the ballast is on the under-side of the headlight.......... bumper off, headlight out

Is that what the ballasts do though? I didn't know where they are located either. I was just speaking from when I fitted my HID's in my old Clio.

As above. Swap over the bulbs. See if problem occurs.

Re: Xeon headlight bulb gone...

ballast are built into the underside of the headlight. they only last for an average of 2000hrs! ive changed 1 on my car last year. they are pretty pricey tho unless you buy a uaed 1 from ebay

Thought my drivers side one had gone the other day the rubber seal was also not seated right at the rear of the light, after the cheaper option of trying to see if it was bulb or igniter by swapping them with no luck removed the ballast pack to find that there were somehow a few drops of water in the contacts. After a quick wipe and dry refitted the ballast job done lights working - if I'd took it in the renault they would have just blindly changed the ballast and charged between £200 - £300
Only ball ache is having to take the bumper off but still nice to know saved myself a bit of money :D

its sorted now i guess, i thought when mine went it might of been, bulb, ballast etc etc,

birchdown found it to be a wire. cheaper fix anyway!
